Singer Ciara branded ‘irresponsible’ for taking three-month-old daughter on a ride

Singer Ciara has been criticised for taking her new baby on a toboggan ride while on a family trip in China.

The star, 31, is married to American Football player Russell Wilson and gave birth just three months ago to daughter Sienna Princess.

Ciara posted a video to her Instagram account whilst on holiday with her family, along with the caption: ‘I wish I could put into words how fun this was! Going down in the toboggan at the #GreatWallOfChina with my family. @DangeRussWilson Unreal’

The short clip showed her going down what appeared to be a fairly slow toboggan ride with her newborn strapped to her chest, taking in the stunning scenery on the journey – but some of her followers didn’t agree with her taking little Sienna along with her in this way.

‘Taking a baby on a Toboggan [sp]? Get a grip lady,’ one person commented, whilst another added: ‘So irresponsible with an infant. Dumb celebrities.’

‘Too dangerous for the kids. One wrong move -and everyone goes over,’ said another.

The singer, who is also mum to three-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn, has not responded to the criticism directly, but many of her other 17 million followers have jumped to her defence and attempted to rationalise the situation.

‘@Ciara is an amazing mother and I am sure just like you, she would never do anything to harm her kids. Or not research anything before doing it,’ said one.

‘They are fine and I don’t think they would have been allowed on the rides with the kids if it was not safe. I don’t see any problem here just a happy family living a happy and fun life.’

‘I really wish people would think before they speak,’ a second agreed. ‘Ci and Russ would never put their children in any kind of danger. They are going really slow, they control the speed. And the baby is strapped to her mother, in the carrier… So calm down it’s not that deep 😐’
