This Morning star Sharon Marshall says 'magic spell' helped her get pregnant at 46

Soap expert Sharon Marshall says a Wiccan spell is what finally helped her conceive her first child

Sharon Marshall, the

soap expert on

This Morning, has revealed that after trying to conceive for a long time, she believes 'a Wicca spell' helped her fall pregnant for the first time at the age of 46.

In an interview with The Sun Online, Sharon explained that after failing to concieve, her and her partner's luck changed after they had a 'magic spell' cast on them by Emmerdale actress Samantha Giles.

This will be Sharon and her partner Paul Fletcher's first child together. The couple had been keen to start a family for some time but were struggling to conceive.

Sharon explained: 'Sam, who plays Bernice [on Emmerdale], does lucky spells and she did a lucky spell to help me get pregnant. I carry it with me as my lucky charm, I always have it on me.'

She added: 'The timing was amazing, she does Wicca spells and other magic spells. It's my good luck stone and they obviously work.'Samantha plays Bernice is Emmerdale and has been open about her Wiccan faith in the past

Wicca is a Pagan witchcraft tradition that often uses magic in order to achieve a desired outcome.

Samantha has previously spoken about her use of spells and says it is how she met her husband Sean Pritchard.

Speaking on Lorraine last September, Samantha said: 'I cast a love spell before I met Sean to meet the right person - it's not as bonkers as it sounds... 'I use candles and crystals in the magic I do. I wrote down exactly what I was after. When I met Sean, I looked at it a few months later and he was exactly what I was looking for.'

Regardless of whether you believe it, Sharon is convinced that Samantha's spells helped her to conceive. The 46-year-old revealed she was pregnant with her first child while on This Morning earlier this year. Holly and Phil were quick to congratulate the soap expert after she emotionally confirmed her happy news.

Holly said: 'It is the most wonderful news.' Sharon replied: 'It is. We're really, really happy. These are happy tears.'

Sharon is due to give birth in July this year.
