Avoiding food poisoning

Avoiding food poisoning

It's estimated that there are 860,000 cases of food poisoning every year. Avoid the risk of getting food poisoning from your leftovers by:

  • Refrigerating leftovers within two hours of cooking.
  • Don't forget about your leftovers - make sure you eat them within 4 days.
  • And remember, you can reheat leftovers, but only do it once. Anything that's still not eaten after that has to go in the bin.
