The food in our shopping trollies seems to be getting more expensive by the week, but there are some food items that are actually cheaper than they were a year ago.

Here are five key ingredients - broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, bananas and apples - that supermarkets are cutting the price on. So if you're planning your meals for the week, make sure you add these cheaper food items to your list and try these easy recipes.
