Bake with Christmas leftovers
When you're cooking using exact amounts of ingredients there are often things left over, or your family might just not eat as much as you thought, leaving you with lots of unfinished things. Try our Christmas leftover baking recipes and you'll find they'll soon disappear.
1. If you've been overwhelmed with chocolatey gifts, why not melt some of them down into a sauce for ice cream?
2. Leftover cranberry could be used in recipes for cranberry and cinnamon tray bakes or lemon and cranberry cube cake.
3. Turn your bread and butter pudding into a boozy one by using up your brandy butter or use the brandy butter as a sauce for steak.
4. There are always nuts hanging around after Christmas, why not use them up in a nut roast or rocky road biscuits.
5. We always seem to get landed with dates. These recipes are perfect for them - spicy Elizabethan casserole or date and pecan brownies.
6. Spoon leftover mincemeat out of the jar, heat it up and add to ice cream for an alternative Christmas pudding.
