2kg (4lb) white sugarpaste, eg. Regalice
Paste food colours in Dark Brown, Tangerine, Poppy Red and Holly Green
20cm (8in) round date and walnut fruit cake
6-8 tbsp apricot glaze or sieved apricot jam
1kg (2lb) marzipan
½ x 500g packet royal icing sugar
250g (8oz) white flower paste
Dust colours in Gold, Chocolate and Silver Effect
Rose water (alcohol-based, eg. Star Kay White)
Semolina
Confectioner's glaze

28cm (11in) round cake drum
Icing smoother
Ruler
Toothpick
Piping bag fitted with small star piping tube
Patterned rolling-pin, eg. Jem scroll (optional)
Circular cutter
Oval cutter
Holly-leaf cutter
9mm-wide milk chocolate satin ribbon
Double-sided sticky tape
