Follow our step-by-step video on how to cook a perfect fried egg to go with bacon, chips or hot-buttered toast.

Cooking time: 1 min

Egg

Spoon
1tbsp groundnut oil

1. Heat your frying pan on a high heat, add a tbsp of groundnut oil to the pan. Once the oil is hot and bubbling you're ready to add the egg.

3. Tilt the pan and spoon some of the hot oil over the egg, coating the yolk.
4. Time for one minute and look for the edges of the egg white to go brown.
5. After the one minute, quickly remove the egg from the pan using a spatula. Serve on top of toast or with your fried breakfast.
