Video recipe: How to make gravy
Learn how to make gravy with our brilliant video recipe - it's the perfect finishing touch for roast dinners.
Cook time: 20-30 mins
Rested meat juices
Potato water or plain water
Plain flour
Sherry or white wine
Worcester sauce
Mushroom ketchup
Cranberry relish
1. Heat up the meat juices in a roasting tray
2. Sprinkle a tbsp of flour into the tray and use a metal spoon to stir it into a paste - do this for about 1 minute
3. Add a splash of the white wine or sherry
4. Add in the flavourings i.e. Worcester sauce, mushroom ketchup and cranberry relish
5. Use a whisk to get rid of any lumps
6. Add a little bit of potato water
7. Leave it to simmer until your ready to serve it
