How to make roast potatoes video
Cooking time: 1 hour
1 bag of Desiree potatoes
a handful of polenta
Goose fat
Salt and pepper
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
2. Peel potatoes, cut into quarters and put them in a pan of cold water.
3. Add a large spoonful of salt.
4. Put the lid on, turn up the heat and bring to the boil.
5. Once the water is boiling, turn down the heat and cook for 5 mins.
6. Put a big spoonful of goose fat on a baking tray and put in the oven until it's really hot.
7. After the potatoes have been boiling for 5 mins, drain the water - but save some in case you want to make gravy.
8. Fluff up the potatoes by shaking them around in the colander.
9. As quickly as possible put the potatoes onto the oven tray which is covered in the goose fat - make sure they're fully coated in the goose fat.
10. Sprinkle over a handful of polenta.
11. Cook for 40 mins in the oven until lovely and crispy.
