Aldi launches dairy-free ice cream for just £1.99 per tub

Bargain store favourite Aldi have pleased the masses again, and this time it’s with their new line of dairy free ice cream – just in time for World Vegan Day.

Following a dairy free diet is no longer as difficult as it once was with many mainstream brands and supermarkets realising that people follow a dairy-free diet.

Whether it’s to help with skin problems, ethical reasons or a necessary requirement for your health, either way dairy-free food has fast become a way of life for many people – and now they can tuck into tasty treats too, at a fraction of the cost of many rivals.

Leading ice cream brand Ben and Jerry’s started dairy free tubs recently at £5.50, whereas these Aldi gems are on sale at £1.99 for 480ml making you a whopping £3.51 saving per tub.

The new range offers a light and refreshing coconut cream iced dessert as well as a delicious like-the-real-thing chocolate version.

And, as they’re made from coconut cream they are officially both vegan and dairy-free, and as added bonus they’re also gluten free too.

The exciting new release has sent Twitter into a sharing frenzy, with many applauding the store for branching out into the new area.

‘Have you tried @Aldi_Ireland @AldiUK #Vegan ice cream? Delicious over some #pumpkin pie! #Halloween #Halloweenweekend,’ one account declared.
