Lidl is selling prosecco for £3.33 a BOTTLE (but you’ll have to be quick!)

If early Christmas prep is your thing, or you just love the taste of the fizzy stuff, you’ll be excited to hear that you can now buy a case (yes, case!) full of prosecco from Lidl for just £20.

The deal means that those lucky to get their hands on the box will be able to take six bottles of the supermarket’s Allini Prosecco home with them for a bargain price.

The discount on the cases of wine, which normally cost £31.50, means that each bottle will cost as little as £3.33.

The news was spotted by Prosecco Watch, a Facebook page which shares valuable updates on the latest prosecco deals on the high street. The offer starts on Saturday 26th August and finishes on Sunday 27th – just in time for the Bank Holiday on the following Monday.

So far, more than 35,000 bubbly lovers have tagged their friends and family to alert them to the cheap alcohol offer, and the post has had a staggering 26,000 shares (and counting).

‘I’ll be first in line for a few boxes of these!’ one excited fan exclaimed.

This isn’t the first time that the budget brand has made headlines with its quality wine offering. Back in June 2017, a Lidl sparkling wine was named one of the best in the world.

The wine, which costs just £7.99, was Lidl’s Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc NV and was given the ‘Silver Outstanding’ award at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Paul Gibson, Buying Director at Lidl UK, said at the time: ‘We pride ourselves on being able to provide unbeatable prices and quality for our customers.

‘Our overall core wine offering continues to go from strength to strength; this has enabled us to continue to deliver on award-winning wines such as our Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc NV – being ranked by the IWSC as a similar standard to premium champagnes.’
