Meet our Strawberry Tea contest winner

Meet goodtoknow Strawberry Tea baking queen: Lucy Clark. Lucy, 25, from St Albans, won our special Breast Cancer Care Strawberry Tea baking contest with her inventive strawberry cupshakes.

‘The inspiration for the cupshakes came because I love milkshakes and thought what better way than to fuse my two favourite sweets together than by creating milkshake cupcakes; cupshakes!’ says Lucy. ‘I’m really pleased, it’s nice to know that my hard work has been recognised!’

‘I have M.E. so live with my parents at the moment. I started baking as a hobby, making my own recipes and working part time as an administrative assistant, but I have recently had to stop as my cupcakes have taken off and I am now doing that full time with my business Heaven is a Cupcake.

‘I’ve been baking since a young age and it’s very much something that has been passed down the generations, my oma (Austrian grandma) always made delicious cakes, pastries and of course, apple strudel and my mother used to make celebration cakes for friends and family.

‘I started making cupcakes because I loved the way you can make each individual cupcake a work of art and everyone gets to have their own all to themselves. So I definitely love baking cupcakes the most!’

As our winner, Lucy will receive the entire Le Creuset Strawberry Tea collection worth £205 which features Le Creuset’s famous stoneware in a gorgeous rose pink.
