You know her from… TV comedies such as Goodness Gracious Me and Jonathan Creek. She has also made several appearances on Big Brother’s Little Brother. Let’s hope her confidence gives her an advantage in this show.
Best dish: poached pear spiced with cinnamon and ginger.
WINNER! Emma was crowded Celebrity MasterChef champion 2012 and won a trophy and £10,000 for the charity of her choice. The actress decided to split the money with runners up Danny Mills and Mark Underwood – aw!
For her three course meal Emma cooked a pea mint ricotto ravioli for starter. For her main course she made pan-fried turbot and crushed roast potatoes. For her impressive dessert she made poached meringue and creme en glace. All three got a massive thumbs up from John and Gregg.
You know him from… English professional football. Best known for his time at Leeds United where his main position was right-back. Danny has to put his best foot forward to get anywhere in this contest. Let’s see if the sportsman can bring his talent to the table.
RUNNER UP – for his three course meal he cooked, for starter, a smoked duck breast followed by sea bream and trout on an aubergine puree for the main course. For his dessert he made chocolate fondant with orange sorbet. The judges loved it all – tough competition! Well done Danny.
You know him from… British television. He famously won a six-week presenting contract on Gaby Roslin’s BBC TV show, Whatever You Want. Michael also competed on Dancing on Ice in 2008. Let’s hope the bubbly Northerner can cook up an impressive storm in the kitchen.
Best dish: trio of strawberry desserts.
RUNNER UP – for his three course meal he cooked: pan-fried mackerel for starter, for the main he cooked saddle of lamb with leeks and carrot puree. His delicious dessert was a banana and passion fruit souffle and John was extremely impressed – well done Michael!
You know him from… radio station, Heart FM. He is also a television presenter, actor and producer. Seems as though Jamie likes to keep busy and juggle a lot of things at once – let’s see if these skills give him an advantage in the contest.
You know her from… 1980s pop group, Bucks Fizz. The English singer performed on behalf of the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest twice and won second time round. We’re sure she’ll sing her way through the comp.
Best dish: hot and sour prawn soup
VOTED OUT – she made it into the quarter finals but fell at the first hurdle. Her late-to-the-table orange souffle just wasn’t enough.
You know her from… the music charts. English singer, songwriter Javine represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 and appeared alongside Girls Aloud in reality show Popstars: The Rivals. She can perform well on stage, let’s see if she can do the same in the kitchen.
Best dish: parsley and thyme rack of lamb.
You know her from… World Championships and Olympic Games. Rebecca Romero MBE, is an English rowing and cycling star. The silver medalist is used to competing with athletes, so competing with celebs should be a breeze – right?
You know her from… British television drama, Holby City and Footballers’ Wives in the early 2000s. She also starred on Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 where she wowed judges with her pristine moves – let’s see if she can dance her way through the kitchen.
VOTED OUT she made it to the next stage in the competition but just couldn’t hold on. John liked her honeycomb pancakes but Gregg didn’t like the texture of her chicken or cucumber.
You know her from… Blue Peter from 2004 – 2008. The British TV presenter hosted the children’s TV show and also appeared on Dancing on Ice in 2009. Don’t think you can skate your way out of this one, Zoe.
You know him from… the comical duo, Dick and Dom. Actor, Richard ‘Dick’ McCourt teams up with Dominic Wood to bring kids hours of entertainment. Hopefully the Yorkshire lad won’t be lost without his partner in crime.
VOTED OUT for using the wrong yogurt in his bread mix which made it more like a cookie – oops! He also didn’t have enough spice on his Indian chicken dish.
You know him from… Gardeners’ World; Home Front, Gardens Through Time, Chelsea Flower Show and pretty much anything to do with gardens. The Irish TV personality seems ready to get his hands dirty. Wonder if his green fingers can work their magic in the kitchen?
VOTED OUT – for his stack of meat that celebrity judges, Christine Hamilton, Phil Vickery, and Nick Pickard did not like at all.
You know her from… the TV. Jenny is a comedian/novelist/actor and has been popping up on our screens for many years now. From I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2010 to Loose Women in 2012, Jenny knows TV inside out. Let’s see if that can be said for cooking too…
You know him from… TV classics such as EastEnders, The Bill, Doctor at the Top and Coronation Street. The English actor, director, screenwriter and author may be a natural in front of the cameras, but let’s see if he’s a natural in the kitchen.
VOTED OUT – poor George just couldn’t cut it in the kitchen. After all his hard work and effort his place in the final was taken away by his uncooked Schnitzel. Tut tut!
You know him from… the ITV talent show Pop Idol, 2003, where he was the runner-up alongside winner, Will Young. He may have lost that TV show, but we’re sure that’ll make him even more determined to win Celebrity MasterChef.
VOTED OUT – it came down to the final dish and Gareth’s venison looked lovely but the judges could not forgive the minimal serving of mash potato (we kinda understand – we love mash!)
You know him from… British swimming. The butterfly swimmer has competed internationally in 100-metre and 200-metre butterfly distances. We hope you’ve got some cooking skills, Steve, you can’t butterfly swim your way through this one.
VOTED OUT – it was a close call but Steve failed to make it the next round losing out to Javine and Jamie Theakston.
You know her from… Australian soap opera, Neighbours, in which she played Madge Bishop. She has also played Lily Butterfield in Emmerdale for 3 years. She looks like she knows a thing or two about cookery – let’s just wait and see.
VOTED OUT – poor Anne wasn’t having much luck in the comp and her soggy pastry pushed her over the edge. John and Gregg said farewell to the actress as she left with her head held high. Celebrity MasterChef is on weeknights, 6.30pm, BBC2
