Is it a cake? Is it a biscuit? No it’s a whoopie pie. No surprise that this delicious cross between a cake and a biscuit with a layer of buttercream was a big hit in the UK.

10 competitors baked their hearts out for TV hit The Great British Bake Off in Summer 2010. Judge Paul Hollywood inspired us all to bake our own bread – his cob loaf recipe was a huge hit with goodtoknow users.
