Rachel Brooks’ strawberry and chocolate brownies
Strawberries and chocolate make a heavenly combination and these gooey brownie cupcakes by goodtoknow user Rachel are to die for.
Rachel says: ‘The more calories you burn making the brownies, the more you can eat afterwards.’ Sounds good to us!
Carola Fromm’s strawberry daiquiri cupcakes
Carola took the classic strawberry daiquiri cocktail and made her own cupcake version. The icing is made using butter, icing, white rum and lime juice.
Amie Shearer’s strawberry granitas
These chic-looking strawberry granitas are perfect for a garden party or as a summer treat.
Amie says: ‘When you’re ready to serve, place them in champagne glasses (or however you wish to serve them) and add a strawberry to garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy the taste of summer!’

Runner-up: Carolyn Figg’s mini strawberry cheesecakes
These mini strawberry cheesecakes look so moreish, it would be hard to have just the one. Carolyn has made the cheesecake cases out of cookie dough and the filling from Philadelphia, icing sugar and strawberry essence.
Recipes ed Katy says: ‘Carolyn’s mini cheesecakes are so stylish, you could definitely serve them at a wedding or posh do but they’re made with storecupboard ingredients. Brilliant.’
Runner-up: Melanie Booth’s strawberry and pistachio tart.
Melanie has added pistachios to this strawberry and custard tart for a delicious twist.
Recipes ed Katy says: ‘We loved Melanie’s elegant summer tart – she’s really made the most of summer’s juicy strawberries in this original recipe.’
Runner-up: Patricia Owen’s strawberry and wild berry tea loaf
Patricia’s crushed strawberry and wild berry tea loaf is packed full of flavour. It also contains cinnamon and mixed nuts: a lovely afternoon treat.
Recipes ed Katy says: ‘We loved Patricia’s grown-up strawberry loaf with its delicate flavours of crushed strawberries and wild berry tea. Perfect with a cup of tea.’
Runner-up: Elly McCausland’s strawberry basil cupcakes
Cupcakes are perfect for many occasions and these dainty cupcakes are scented with basil and finished with a pretty strawberry sugar frosting.
Recipes ed Katy says: ‘There were a lot of great cupcakes entered in the contest but Elly’s strawberry cupcakes really stood out with the addition of basil and the pretty homemade strawberry sugar.’
Winner: Lucy Clark’s strawberry cupshakesLucy came up with this ingenious way to combine cupcakes and milkshakes: strawberry cupshakes!
