Gary Barlow has taken to Twitter to comfort his evicted X Factor act Carolynne Poole.
The judge was seen storming off stage on the live X Factor show on Sunday night after the singer was sent home in favour of 'joke act' Rylan Clark.
'@CarolynnePoole you did yourself proud. Hold your head high,' Gary tweeted after the rejected singer told her Twitter fans: 'Sorry for letting u all down x'
Gary had criticised Rylan's place in the competition after his first live performance of Gold on Saturday night.
'I wanted to have some fun and I really was having fun until you started singing tonight. I was embarrassed to be sat here,' he said after the over-the-top performance.
Louis Walsh faced criticism after his decision to send the vote to deadlock resulted in Carolynne leaving the show. After initially choosing to save Carolynne, the judge then changed his mind and saved Rylan meaning that the decision went back to the public vote - which placed the country singer in last place.
Gary still has 3 acts left in the show after the public decided to give his wildcard, Christopher Maloney, a place in the final 13.
