More than 44,000 cases are diagnosed in the UK every year, with around 80% in women over 50. You should know how your breasts look and feel normally so that you can pick up any changes quickly. If you notice any changes to your breasts, lumps, changes in size, shape, dimpling, or discharge, try not to worry, but see your GP as soon as you can. The sooner breast cancer is diagnosed, the more likely you are to be successfully treated.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers. Most cases occur in women over the age of 50. If you notice any lump or change to your normal breast then see a doctor soon. If breast cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, there is a good chance of successful treatment. In general, the more advanced the cancer (the more it has grown and spread), the less chance that treatment will be curative. However, treatment can often slow the progress of the cancer.

my mum has had a lump for 3 years and she has been told it is a calcium lump where can i find out more information about this from please i would be very grateful

My mum has got a lump in her breast and i am worried that she may have breast cancer. Are there any other things it could be? She says it hurts her, is that a good sign? She has been to the doctors and they say that they are not sure wether or not it is a syst. However they are refering to the hospital for testing.

i ahve just had a mammo & ultrasound and needle asspitation and the results have come back with me now needing a core biosy. i have white calcium cells in my hard large lump in my left breast. what is this and what can i expect the results to be. i also have a strange tingling in my left arrm .

the last month or so my breasts have been really sore and achey they feel really hard and ive tried checkin my breats but not really sure if im doin it right. since i have had breasts ive always wore a bra all the time and i never take it off could this be a cause of my sore breats?
