goodtoknow says: Sore, tender breasts are a normal occurrence for many women in the days leading up to a period. This is called cyclical breast pain, it's usually mild and is nothing to worry about. It happens because your breast tissue is particularly sensitive to the hormonal changes that happen every month. Painkillers and a support bra will help to ease it. See your doctor if you have breast pain that isn't connected with your periods, but don't worry because it isn't a sign you have breast cancer. Cancerous lumps are usually painless. Most women develop breast pain at some stage in life. In most cases it is mild and occurs just before periods. In some cases it is more severe. Treatment options are discussed below. Breast pain is not usually an early symptom of breast cancer. However, see your doctor if you have any concerns.

I suffer with serve pain in my left breast only - It started 11 years ago after having my child. I have been to breast clinics and my GP they just tell me its not cancer and ship me off. When the pain is very bad it affects me in many ways such as: serve headaches it feels like my head will explode, I faint and feel really ill. I cant hold down a job as the pain is too much. Does anyone have any advise for me?
