goodtoknow says: Pneumonia is a lung infection. Most serious cases are caused by bacteria. Symptoms include a high fever, tight chest, cough, shivers, sweats and headache. You're more likely to get it severely if you've been ill already, have a poor immune system or are elderly and frail. If your symptoms worsen, eg you become breathless with a high fever, you may have to go to hospital.
