Aftercare tips for cervical cancer
I was desperate to get back to normal after having a hysterectomy, due to cervical cancer. I wanted to drive to the shops, but the pain was too much, though, and the doctor told me to wait a few weeks. I realise now that you need to pace yourself after such a major op. So don't do too much, too soon.

I found the after-effects of the treatment for cervical cancer worse than the treatment itself. I knew that ginger root worked with seasickness, so I thought I'd give it a try to avoid the nausea after radiation - and it did! Try taking two capsules of Ginger Root when you feel the sickness coming on. I paid £6.45 for 100 capsules from Holland and Barrett.

trez, over 2 years
i am now 2 years surviving cervical cancer from stage 3 and its been a long road. I had bowel damage, early menopause and loads of other problems. but life continues and thats the main thing. it does get better slowly and accepting you will never be the same person again helps. keep your checkups always and if you feel really sick get a scan urgently. i did and im still here - god bless
