Coping with cerebral palsy

Coping with cerebral palsy
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

If you have a child with cerebral palsy, take them to see a speech therapist. My 5-year-old daughter, Molly, has cerebral palsy and after she'd seen a speech therapist not only did her speech improve, but so did her ability to swallow food, which can be a problem for children with CP.

My son has cerebral palsy and has to wear a leg brace. This rubs a bit and he often gets pressure sores. I've tried everything, but the simplest and most effective treatment seems to be the antiseptic cream, Conotrane ,which costs £1.25.
