It may sound odd, but even though raisins are sweet and sticky, I read that eating them can help fight against dental plaque and gum disease as they contain things that fight the bacteria that cause it.

My gums bleed so I use Colgate Peroxyl Antiseptic Oral Cleaner. You just swish it around for 30 seconds then spit it out. It costs £3.50.

If you brush your teeth with baking soda , it whitens them after a few weeks.
