Treatments and triggers for migraine
I used to suffer from migraines but never knew why. Then my doctor discovered my body's low in magnesium which makes arteries constrict more. I've been taking magnesium tablets for a few months now and I'm hoping for the best. I bought Boots Magnesium One A Day £5.75 for 30 tablets.

Keep a food diary to try and work out what causes your migraines as most sufferers have a 'trigger'. Red wine, cheese and chocolate are all common causes of migraines. Once you've worked out yours you can remove it from your diet and your migraines should improve.

i have suffered for 40 years with cluster migraines and over the years of trying many, many various products, unfortunately there are no cures, but there are medicines that can help.and believe me not every product works for everyone.I am currently in a cycle of clusters and have just moved to the uk, i was getting two clusters a day and i felt like dying as you may well know the pain is far worse the child birth.i am on methyesergide[also know as desiril ]these are very strong and if not taken with great care they can cause kidney damage, they are not a cure but i promise you they have stopped my headaces for a week now and maybe they are taking me out of my cycle, thank god,i maynot have another cycle for a year, i hope this is a help to anybody i know how desporate we become. regards. jimmy dewar. .

There seems to be a lot of different triggers. See http://www.migraeniker.dk/english/documents/trigger.htm - about food triggers, estrogens, and too much medicine which all act as migraine triggers. I can keep fairly free of migraines by eliminating phenylethylamine from my food, as long as I am in charge of the ingredients. Eating out often results in a migraine.
