Relieving back pain
When I was pregnant I had terrible sciatica, but I couldn't take painkillers. A friend suggested heating up some olive oil and rubbing it in to the painful areas. It's a really soothing remedy and got me through the worst bits.

I get a bad back and find the Scholl Back Massage Cushion really helps. I found it cheapest online at Amazon.co.uk for around £30.

For those who have prolapse disc problems - Try this - Lay on your front and gently bring your elbows in towards you so that you are 'laying' on your arms/holding yourself up on your elbows. You can change the height etc to suit your pain threshold. This really helps for me, infact the only thing that really gives some reflief. The other thing I recommend is a MCTIMONEY CHIROPRACTOR - make sure this person is qualified. This is a great unobtrusive and painless (mostly) way of getting those bones back into place with out all the pulling and grunting. I can really recommend it. It's great on animals too! I have two prolapsed discs. Chickened out of surgery for now. I also have overlong ligamants which means my joints are not kept in place as firmly or securely as some. Take one day at a time. Pain management is good. What else can we do?
