How to soothe sore throats
There are lots of things that soothe sore throats, but the best and the easiest is just to dissolve a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water and gargle with it.

It's my mum's old recipe but honey and lemon stirred into hot water really is brilliant at calming a sore throat.

as well as using some "Diflam" spray (over the counter) to soothe my very sore red inflammed throat, I just discovered those natural "Swiss herb cough lozenges RICOLA".Bliss.They are made with menthol and peppermint oil, thyme, sage, lady'smantle, elder flowers, cowslip, yarrow, mallow etc. I bought them in a Waitrose and what a relief when on the go!!!!!!Hope your sore throat gets better soon!

I find that when I feel a sore throat coming on I take zinc tablets (one per day) and the soreness doesnt last for as long and isnt as painful as if I dont take it. Works with colds aswell!
