Pharmacist, Mohammed Syfur Rahman gives advice for frozen shoulder
'Sometimes injury to the shoulder can lead to frozen shoulder, and it can also occur more frequently in patients with diabetes, chronic inflammatory arthritis of the shoulder, or after chest or breast surgery. Long-term immobility of the shoulder joint can put people at risk of developing a frozen shoulder. Shoulder exercises are important, and regular, gentle exercise can help to keep the shoulder joint mobile. Anti-inflammatory painkillers such as ibuprofen are often prescribed to ease pain and improve the use of the shoulder. Consider applying Boots Ibuprofen Pain Relief Gel (contains Ibuprofen 5%) (£5.29) to the area.
