How fruit and veg can prevent cataracts
'There is a genetic glitch that makes some people more susceptible to cataracts as they age. Although this can't be cured, it can be remedied by a high lutein diet (foods such as spinach, prunes, mangoes, broccoli, oranges, courgettes and melon). And we're already seeing manufacturers offering a genetic test for this particular flaw for a few hundred pounds, after which you could be targeted for lutein-rich ingredients to prevent cataracts at a later stage of life.'

A little research has revealed that there is a product on the market ‘L-carnosine’ that replaces surgery. Is such a product available?
