Treating measles

Treating measles
Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

When my son Josh had measles, he had a hacking cough but cough medicines didn't seem to help. A friend suggested placing a big bowl of water in his bedroom to make the air more humid. I did and it seemed to help.

I was warned not to give my daughter Jenny aspirin when she got measles as it can cause neurological problems. I gave her Disprol instead which my doctor recommended. They're paracetamol tablets that dissolve in water so they're easy to take and Jenny liked the lime flavour. You can buy 16 tablets for about £1.40.
