My joints are always worst in the mornings which is when I used to shower and wash my hair. I started showering in the evenings when I didn't feel so bad and having a warm bath in the mornings instead. It helps thaw out my joints and makes the day ahead much less painful. Try adding a drop of lavender oil to your bath for relaxation too.

When I'm really achey, I put an electric underblanket on my bed. The heat works from head to toe and really helps my joints relax. I'm always less stiff in the morning after I've used it. I bought a fleecy one from Boots for £39.99.
