Let your friends help you beat your fears
'You need a plan to face your avoided situations in increasing doses of difficulty, preferably with the help of a friend. Find ways of relaxing - for example, exercise, breathing slowly or yoga. Confront your irrational thoughts - joining a self-help organisation (such as www.nopanic.org.uk) is a good place to start.'
Professor Kevin Gournay CBE, Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London

I was interested to read your solutions. Most of your suggestions I have tried and I know I should do them a bit longer but I don't feel they are much help. I find lack of motivation more my problem as indeed it takes a lot of effort forme to start doing things. I try toset myself a goal every day but must confess lack of interest. Just getting up some days and getting dressed is a gigantic hurdle. I hope I don't feel like this forever!!!!
