Dr Sarah Jarvis on ovarian cancer
'Ovarian cancer is much easier to detect in the earlier stages. By using Ovarian Cancer Action's Symptom Diary it will help women communicate the nature of their symptoms, Then, doctors like me, can be very clear about what the woman is experiencing, and help them decide if ovarian cancer is a possible cause.'

Just thought I would ask, I am 68 but have had 'troubles' - big stomach, frequency of an hour before needing the loo, extreme lower back pain - until I sit down for about 15 minutes then it goes. griiping pains in tummy and feeling full when I just have started eating. all these started at 52 years of age. Went many times for consultation to be told 'its your age' or to be given medication for urge incontinence. This has been on going despite changing my doctors and going to another doctor who says the same. Because of the years this has been on going do I conclude that it cannot be serious. Like ovarian or some other caner? No doctor has suggested having tests. Except for gout. Can I assume that I just have stress related urinary urges and I have to put up with them?
