Creature Discomforts

Leonard Cheshire - Creature discomforts

The Leonard Cheshire Disability charity has launched a new campaign to make people think about the way they see disability.

They've teamed up with Aardman Animations, who brought us Wallace & Gromit, to create Creature Discomforts - plasticine characters with disabilities. They use the real voices and experiences of disabled people who describe the negative attitudes and barriers they meet in day-to-day life.

Recent research shows that 9 out of 10 disabled people feel there is prejudice against them in the UK and the campaign wants to highlight the problems and discrimination they face on a daily basis.
