Vitamin A

Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) = 0.6 milligrams (mg) for women, 0.7 mg for men.
Also known as: Retinol
What's it good for? It keeps the eyes in good condition, it boosts the immune system and it reduces the risk of cancer. It can also help fight angina, herpes, colds, flu and osteoarthrits.
What happens if I don't get enough? You can suffer from poor sight, poor night vision, lots of infections, boils or acne.
Where can I get it from? Liver, milk and eggs mainly. It can also be found in fruit and veg like peaches, carrots, broccoli and kale.
