Dealing with anger issues
Do you lose your temper quickly? Is your patience always wearing thin? You could be one of the millions of people in the UK that has anger problems and may need anger management.
A new report by The Mental Health Foundation discovered that 1 in 10 of us can't control our temper, on a daily basis. One in four of us are worried we might have an anger problem and 58% of us don't know how to get help for it.
The Boiling Point report also found that anger can lead to heart disease, cancer, stroke, colds and flu as well as depression.
And more relationships break up because of anger problems than any other reason.
We've got expert advice and top tips on recognising when you're angry and how to cope with it from our anger-management specialist Celia Richardson, Director of Campaigns from The Mental Health Foundation.
She says, 'While anger is a normal emotion it becomes a problem when it starts to take over your life. For some people anger can cause persistent problems in their thinking, feeling, behaviour and relationships.'
