3. Eat garlic every day
The French are famous for loving it and research has shown that eating or taking garlic every day can cut your blood pressure and save your life.
A study carried out at Adelaide University found that a daily garlic supplement produced drops in blood pressure readings, in common with people who take drugs such as beta-blockers and ACE inhibitors.
Either one clove or a daily supplement should be enough to help your blood pressure.
4. Get into the sun
We're not suggesting you actively develop a mahogany tan, but just 20 minutes of exposure to the sun every day can do wonders for your body.
Not only will spending time in the sun help to ease symptoms of depression and help you sleep better, but being exposed to the sun boosts the amount of Vitamin D in our bodies.
High vitamin D levels have been linked to a decreased risk of high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer (including skin cancer, surprisingly). Just remember to slap on the SPF.
