Wendy Richard talks about her fight with cancer
The 65-year-old EastEnders star says she has terminal cancer but plans to marry her long-term partner before she dies
Wendy Richard has been diagnosed with breast cancer twice before, but this time she said she knew it was different: 'I went for my usual annual check-up and they found that some cancer cells had returned in my left armpit.'
The cancer was diagnosed in January and has also spread to her kidneys and bones.
Although her consultant said she still has a few years, the cancer has got worse since the diagnosis and she is making plans to marry her partner, John Burns, before starting chemo. She's also bravely planning her funeral and has written a will.
Good luck, Wendy!
