Work-related stress now accounts for 1 in 3 of all new cases of ill-health and 13.5 million working days were lost to work-related stress, depression and anxiety in 2007/08.

This year the Samaritans is highlighting the effects of stress in the workplace and trying to get people to take more care of their emotional health with Stress Down Day on 6 Feb.

So how do you know if you're stressed?

There are various signs of stress, some are physical, some mental and some emotional. Not everyone will show all these symptoms, but if you're experiencing a mixture of these, then it's likely you're suffering with stress.
