Keeping your heart healthy is one of the best things you can do for your body, as heart problems affect thousands of men and women every year.

Heart disease is the biggest killer in the UK, affecting both men and women. Weight problems, smoking, diabetes and stress can all contribute to heart disease.

High blood pressure puts extra strain on your heart and blood vessls, which over time increases the chance of a heart attack or stroke.

High cholesterol can cause heart disease. It usually has no symptoms and is only diagnosed by a blood test - but there are medications and other ways to lower it.
