Is your child using the wrong inhaler?
Many children who suffer with asthma are using the wrong type of inhaler, new research has shown.
The research found that more than one in 10 children with asthma have a gene that makes the Salbutamol inhaler (known as the blue inhaler) ineffective.
What should I do if my child has asthma?
If your son or daughter suffers from asthma, there's no need to panic. Get them to keep using their inhaler normally, but monitor their use.
If your child is using their inhaler more than 3 times a week, then speak to their doctor or nurse and ask for a review of their symptoms.
