Video: Janet Ellis' menopause tips
The menopause affects celebrities as well as us normal women! In partnership with our sister magazine, Woman, we've made a special 3-part video series with former Blue Peter presenter, Janet Ellis, to discuss your menopause worries.
In this video, Janet shares her top 3 bits of advice for dealing with the menopause:
1. Keep moving - physically and mentally. Janet recommends you keep challenging yourself and learning new things.
2. Watch your diet. You'll feel much better if you've researched your diet and you're eating things that really help.
3. Remember that you're still the same person. You're still sexy, funny, loving, kind and connected. You're still a mother maybe, probably a wife or a girlfriend - you're still all the things you were before - you're just a little bit older.
With all the menopause horror stories going around, it's no wonder we feel worried about it sometimes! But on goodtoknow we've actually found loads of evidence that it's not so bad. If Janet hasn't convinced you on this, read this story from goodtoknow fan Gilly: 'The menopause doesn't make me any less of a woman'. Gilly shared her story and nearly 40 other women have added their comments - read their experiences (and don't forget to add your own!).
