Let your body help your alopecia

Margaret Baker, patron of Alopecia UK, on alopecia

'While it can be beneficial to try different things, you mustn't become too concerned with the latest fad. The best thing to do is listen to your body. If massages or acupuncture treatments help to relieve the emotional burdens caused by the alopecia, then by all means do that. I occasionally treat myself to manicures and pedicures as they make me feel more feminine. The other thing that is incredibly important is to get regular cardio exercise in addition to some form of yoga or meditation. This can be helpful when dealing with feelings of self doubt and depression.'
