Which fake tan is best?

Summer has finally arrived, and many of us want that lovely bronzed look. Don't risk damaging your skin this year - fake it instead! Fake tans have improved loads and you don't have to be orange and streaky or smell for days any more. We put some of the most popular fake tan products to the test - click through our gallery to see which is best.

Piz Buin Lotion and Colour Dial

1 / 15

Piz Buin Lotion and Colour Dial
Price: £17.99

Good points: You can choose what level of tan you want using the dial at the top. It smells really nice too.
Bad points: It's had good reviews elsewhere, but we found the bottle unreliable - the lotion either gave no tan or came out streaky.
Our tester said: 'Being able to choose your own colour is a great idea, I was disappointed it didn't work.'
Marks out of 10: 2 - A really good idea, but doesn't work in practice and gives a really uneven tan.
