Colic

The main symptom is a distinctive insistent cry which can last for hours. Your baby may also pull her knees up and refuse to feed. Nobody knows for sure what causes colic. Theories include an immature digestive system and a sensitivity to cows milk. Medicines and remedies can't cure colic but may still be worth trying. Symptoms usually ease within four months.

MY DAUGHTER IS ON HER KNEES WITH A 2 YEAR OLD WHO WON'T EATAND A 6 WEEK OLD WITH COLIC......INSTEAD OF BRINGING HER KNEES UP TO HER CHEST WHEN IN PAIN SHE ARCHES HER BACK AND GOES ALMOST RIGID.....IS THIS SOMETHING USUAL WITH COLIC. SHE HAS BEEN BREAST FED UP TO YESTERDAY AND IS NOW ON FORMULA. SHE HAS GIVEN HER INFACOL (SPELLING?) FOR SEVERAL WEEKS TO NO AVAIL. ANY MORE TRIED AND TESTED REMEDIES WOULD BE GREAT.....SHE AND HER HUSBAND ARE AT THE END OF THEIR TETHER....MY DAUGHTER IS VERY ORGANIC WITH FOOD AND FEELS SHE IS DOING SOMETHING WRONG....CAN ANYONE HELP....THE TEARS ARE COMING TOO FREQUENTLY AND I FEEL I MUST HELP.....THANK YOU.TRICIA..
