Treating burns and scalds
I always have some Nelsons Burns Cream handy. It's got a really nice smell and even though it's a natural remedy, it works and cools the burn down. They have their own online shop (www.nelsonshp.com) but you can also buy it from most chemists for £4.15.

Don't believe the old wives tale of putting butter on burns. It's the worst thing you can do as it can slow down the healing or cause infection. Apply cold running water or a cold pack to the burn until the pain has eased.

For burns of any kind except electric shock, wash with cold water and quickly apply Honey smear on the affected part. There will be burning sensation for sometime but it will cease and the affected part will be normal again without blister or a scar.Time tested so keeo honey in your first aid kitchen kit.
