Local markets are great value, everything is much cheaper than the supermarkets, and fresher and not packed in plastic. Fruit and veg isn't regulated sizes and shapes and the food tastes much better. Avoid the farmers markets that do the rounds these are really expensive. I save hundreds of pounds a year buying at the markets shame there are not as many as there used to be

Having kids around means that I can save wet wipes until they become dry and re-use them as handkerchiefs for the kids and myself or even for general touchups saving money on buying tissue boxes
