
1 packet extra-moist chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
1 tin of black cherry fruit filling
Ready-made chocolate icing
Maraschino cherries to decorate (optional)
1. Place the cake mix in a large bowl. Beat the eggs and add them in, then stir in the tinned black cherries (ignore the instructions on the cake mix packet).
2. Grease and flour the sides of a medium-sized rectangular cake tin, about 25cm x 35cm (or 9in x 13in), and pour in the mix.
3. Bake in the oven for 35 minutes at Gas 4/180°C/350°F.
4. When cooked, allow the cake to cool in the tin.
5. When it's cold, spread icing on the cake and decorate the top with the maraschino cherries
