Average rating: 3 out of 5 star rating

Cheese and French bread go together like fish and chips, and Hannah Grave knows this well! She bakes the bread with a cheesy mixture already inside, the result: a deliciously melted afternoon snack.

  • Skill level: Easy peasy

Ingredients

  • 1 French bread baguette
  • 2 cups grated cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 4 spring onions (chopped)

Method

  1. Slice the French bread 3/4 of the way through so it's cut but doesn't come apart.
  2. Mix the cheese, cream cheese and spring onions in a bowl.
  3. Put 1tbsp of the mixture between each slice of bread.
  4. Wrap the baguette in foil and cook at Gas 5/190°C/375°F for 15 mins. Serve with red onion chutney or ketchup.
