Red wine ice crush

Jazz up some cheap red wine and impress your friends with this simple dessert recipe

Ingredients

You should use the crush within two months of freezing.

  • 8tbsp freshly-squeezed orange juice
  • 3tbsp clear honey
  • 300ml (½ pint) red wine

Method

  1. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice to the honey and warm a little, in a jug in the microwave or in a small pan, until the honey dissolves.
  2. Whisk into the red wine. Pour into a plastic container and freeze for a few hours.
  3. To serve, scoop the crush into small, chilled glasses; it should be large, icy crystals. Serve immediately.
