These delicious flapjacks are full of healthy ingredients but still taste super-sweet. Enjoy with a cuppa!

Ingredients

Ginger is great for alleviating sickness - but don't eat too many of these flapjacks at once or it could have the opposite effect!

  • 100g (4oz) unsalted butter
  • 100g (4oz) honey
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 175g (6oz) oats
  • 100g (4oz) glacé cherries, chopped

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F, gas mark 4). Grease and base-line an 18cm (7in) square tin.
  2. Melt the butter, honey and ginger together in a small saucepan. Stir in the oats and cherries. Transfer to the tin pressing down slightly.
  3. Bake for 25 mins until golden. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into eight slices. Cool completely before removing from the tin.
