Wholegrains and fresh fruit make a deliciously healthy breakfast in just five minutes. What a great way to start the day!

Ingredients

You can customise this breakfast to suit your taste: try super-healthy blueberries instead of raspberries, for instance.

  • 150g (5oz) jumbo porridge oats
  • 50g (2oz) oat bran
  • 50g (2oz) flaked almonds
  • 25g (1oz) sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp wheatgerm
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, grated
  • 150ml (¼ pt) semi-skimmed milk
  • 2-3 tbsp natural yogurt
  • Fresh raspberries to garnish

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together until you have the consistency of porridge.
  2. Garnish with fresh raspberries, and serve.

Guideline Daily Amount for 2,000 calories per day are: 70g fat, 20g saturated fat, 90g sugar, 6g salt.
